This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Doraville is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Doraville follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Came here during lunch and had a very disappointing experience with the service. We waited around 45 minutes for our food, which is far too long, especially during lunch hours. I ordered nasi uduk but was served yellow rice instead, an item I never ordered. By the time the food arrived, we had already waited so long that I didn't want to wait even longer for a replacement, so I just ate it. Unfortunately, the food was also served cold, which made it seem like it had been sitting out rather than being freshly prepared. There was no apology for the wrong order or the long wait. On top of that, they forgot my drink entirely, and I had to remind them about it after I had already finished eating. The one positive was the guy who served us, he was very nice and friendly. However, friendliness alone doesn't make up for a 45-minute wait, an incorrect order, cold food, and forgotten items. The restaurant seriously needs to improve its speed of service, order accuracy, and food quality.

Absolutely loved Ibu’s Kitchen! The food was so flavorful and authentic, and everything we tried was delicious. My personal favorite dish would be the Nasi uduk complete. The portions were great, the flavors really stood out, and the overall experience was amazing. Definitely a spot I’d come back to and recommend to anyone looking for good Indonesian food!

Owners and staff were so kind and welcoming! Had the martabok telor and a bakwan (if I spelled correctly. Both were fried to perfection and had that delicious home cooked taste. Will be back to try the buffet!

I had a wonderful experience trying Ibu’s Kitchen! The man at the counter was very friendly and answered our questions with enthusiasm. I was pleasantly surprised to see a vegetarian section of their menu with plenty of options. I especially enjoyed the Tempe Goreng since I love tempeh. I was a little disappointed by the somewhat bland flavor of the gado gado, but the mie goreng vegetable (requested spicy) more than made up for it. So good! I would highly recommend giving this place a try.

We came across this place on a whim. The food was excellent and the owner was a very kind man. He made sure we knew what we were ordering and made a good recommendation. He recommended the Martabak Telor and it was soooo delicious and was nicely filled. Great value for the price. The Sate Ayum was my favorite dish, I just wish the portion size was better. The suave was rich and perfectly sweet, and the rice cakes were so comforting. The Ayam Goreng Penyet was very flavorful as well, and cooked really nicely. The Sambal was delicious with a nice mellow heat that’s easy to eat for most people. In general, I wish the dishes with chicken had better portion sizes for the price. I will definitely be back and definitely want to try the weekend buffet as the owner recommended.
